James Russell

Hi there, I’m James. I’m part owner and trainer with Dundee First Aid Training. Along with Chris, we decided to enter in to the business world after years of teaching/assessing first aid.

I have been doing first aid since 2005 and ventured into the training side of things after qualifying as a Lifeguard trainer/assessor in 2013. In 2015 I then moved into delivering first aid courses through Leisure and Culture Dundee where I was employed from 2009 until I left for a new venture in 2019.

I currently work full-time as a Firefighter with Scottish Fire and Rescue Service where I’ve picked up some more trauma based training.

In March 2022, Chris and I set this up to deliver our own first aid courses and will look to progress our training as we find our feet.

On a personal note, I’m a keen footballer and still play (just), I have two kids, Ben 15 and Ruby who is two. I’m married to Carly and we have a Scottish Terrier named Harry.

Remember, it’s better to have the knowledge and not need it! So book up!
